Exemption from customs duty and VAT on energy-generating devices

On July 27th, new regulations that provide exemptions from customs duties and VAT for the import of certain types of goods to Ukraine came into effect.

The exemption from duties and tax in particular applies to the following equipment::

• power stations such as EcoFlow, Bluetti;

• power generators;

• generators and devices for electricity production;

• wind and solar energy generation devices;

• lithium-ion batteries and charging stations based on them with a capacity over 300W (batteries with lower capacity will be taxed);

• solar panels for repair and/or replacement after damage and for increasing the capacity of existing solar power plants.
